"The earth is the LORD'S and the fullness thereof, the world and those who dwell therein, for he has founded it upon the seas and established it upon the rivers." Psalm 24: 1-2

"Abstracted Daydream", is the title of my newly painted, 16"x20" acrylic palette knife painting, depicting an aspen forest at the edge of a river.  My painting was inspired by Psalm 24.  I'm continually amazed at the beauty and grandeur of all that God has made.

I'm hoping to return to Colorado this year.  The beautiful white aspen trees display their white trunks against a sea of emerald greens and cobalt blue skies.  This is where I find inspiration for my paintings.

I sold this little 12"x12" acrylic painting, "Dawns Serenade", to a patron here in Atlanta.  I'm deeply grateful to those who collect and appreciate my work.  Thank you!

“A tree against the sky possesses the same interest, the same character, the same expression as the figure of a human. – George Rouault”. (French painter)

I hope your Tuesday is filled with the joy of discovering something new and fresh in this incredible world of ours!

I rendered my 38”x48” acrylic aspen tree painting with brush and palette knife.  I closed my eyes and mused on one of my trips to Colorado, where the blue azure sky against the dancing white aspen trees ignite a flame of inspiration.  The title of this painting is, “Resilient Beauty”.  It hangs in the home of one of my patrons.  However, a limited edition hand-embellished giclee is available to purchase.  Email me, CLICK HERE.

Our path is set before us.  It's up to us to move forward though this life to places that are often unknown.   Our solace in this journey is that our Creator walks with us, we do not walk alone.

"I wonder if the snow loves the trees and fields, that it kisses them so gently? - Lewis Carroll

On this wintry day, I thought I'd share my 30"x40" acrylic aspen tree painting, "Twilight".  There's something so beautiful about standing in the woods on a snowy day.  It's a great time to be still and experience the beauty of pure solitude.

One of the greatest compliments that I receive from my patrons, is that they feel as though they can walk right into my paintings.  I don't always know who purchases my work (if it's sold through a gallery) but when I do, it's so wonderfully rewarding to get such nice feedback!

My 12"x12" acrylic palette knife painting, "Abundant Journey", was inspired by the still waters and the path of righteousness that King David spoke about in one of the most well known Psalms of all time, Psalm 23.  I've memorized this Psalm so that I can take it with me everywhere I go.  It inspires and sustains me as I walk through this journey called, "Life".

What is your defining moment?  I'll never forget mine.  I was eighteen years old, life closed in on me and I hit bottom.  God reached down, literally saved my soul and brought me His peace and saved me from a life and eternity without Him.  "Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the LORD forever." - Psalm 23:6

My new 11"x14" acrylic palette knife painting is titled, "Defining Moment".  It represents our seemingly abstract life and the path we must take to find our own deliverance.  To inquire about purchasing this work, EMAIL ME.  To see more of my available work, visit my WEBSITE.

Dance, dance, wherever you may be
I am the Lord of the dance, said he
And I lead you all, wherever you may be
And I lead you all in the dance, said he. - Syndey Carter

My 20"x16" acrylic painting, "Paso Doble", reflects the dance of life.  Sometimes the dance is soft and melodic, while at others times, the dance is so dramatic that it requires the fortitude and strength of a matador.

Musing about my love for color this morning, I wrote these words,  "I wear the hues of this world in my soul and share them with others through my art".

Inspired by the palette of Van Gogh, I've been rendering my new aspen paintings with a combination of blues and yellow/golds.  This little 9"x12" acrylic palette knife painting is titled, "Kebler Pass Aspen".

"I wonder if the snow loves the trees and fields, that it kisses them so gently?  And then it covers them up snug, you know, with a white quilt; and perhaps it says "Go to sleep, darlings, till the summer comes again."  - Lewis Carroll

My 48"x36" acrylic aspen tree painting, "Symphonic Twilight" has a beautiful nuance in both the light of day and the dusk of the evening.  You feel as if you've been transported to a place of quiet and stillness that normally eludes our every day life.
